Police confirmed Thursday they’re investigating after receiving three reports from drivers who said objects including a rock and an egg were thrown at their vehicles as they drove on U.S. Highway 190/Interstate 14 in Belton

The vehicles were struck between 12:30 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. Tuesday between FM 1670 and Loop 121.

In at least once instance, the object was thrown from an overpass.

Officers questioned two juveniles they found in the area, but made no arrests.

On Saturday Kelia Ruby Flores, 33, died after a rock thrown from an Interstate 35 overpass in Temple crashed through the windshield of the car in which she was riding.

Days later, a rock thrown from the Nugent Avenue overpass in Temple struck the roof of a Volkswagen Golf GTI.

No one was hurt.

Belton investigators advised Temple police about the three incidents on I-14, but say they don’t think they’re connected to the I-35 incidents.
