Six additional charges have been filed against a Louisiana fugitive who was wounded in an exchange of gunfire early last Thursday morning on Lake Air Drive near the intersection with North Valley Mills Drive in Waco.
Douglas Hill, 28, of Bethany, La., who was hit four times, was taken to a local hospital after the shootout, but was transferred Friday to the McLennan County Jail.
Hill faces local charges including three counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

He’s held without bond on Louisiana drug and firearms warrants issued in late August.
Deputies found Hill just before 2 a.m. Thursday walking along Lake Air Drive near Uncle Dan's Barbeque & Catering, McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara said.
“They lit him up,” McNamara said after the shooting.
“He took off running opened fire and started shooting at them. They returned fire to protect themselves.”
He was carrying three guns and narcotics, McNamara said.
Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting.
The shooting was the second involving a Central Texas law enforcement officer last week.
