Man struck, killed while walking on I-35 frontage road identified

Police Wednesday identified a man who was struck and killed by a pickup truck while walking along an Interstate 35 frontage road Monday night in Troy as Albert Raymond Faulkner, 53.
His last know residence was in Leander, police said.
The accident happened at around 9:30 p.m. Monday on the northbound frontage road near Lely drive.
The driver of the 2004 Ford Ranger pickup truck that struck Faulkner did stay and try to help the victim.
Bystanders were performing CPR when first responders arrived, police said, but paramedics determined Faulkner was dead.
No autopsy was ordered.
Police said they don’t expect that charges will be filed against the pickup truck’s driver.
