HAMILTON, Texas (KWTX) An ongoing Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office child sex sting has snared a bank employee, authorities said Monday.

Luis Adolfo Hernandez, 28, of Fort Worth, was arrested late last week on a warrant charging three counts of online solicitation of a minor.

The charges stem from an investigation that started in in the spring of 2017 when Hamilton County Sheriff Justin Caraway was posing on a decoy Kik instant messaging smartphone app as a 15-year-old girl, according to an arrest warrant affidavit released Monday.

A user of the app later identified as Hernandez contacted Caraway, who responded on May 22, 2017.

“Luis requested photographs of the child. Luis began sending nude photographs of him in the reflection of a mirror,” the affidavit says, and then on July 18, 2017 he requested a phone number, which Caraway provided.

The next day Caraway began receiving messages through the app “followed by two videos of a male subject masturbating with shorts pulled down to their mid-thigh,” the affidavit say8s.

Caraway also received a barrage of sexually explicit text messages, the affidavit said.

Authorities determined that the phone number from which the texts were sent belonged to Hernandez, the affidavit says.

On July 25, 2017, Caraway called Hernandez, identified himself as a sheriff, and “during the conversation Luis admitted he was the person operating the Kik account,” the affidavit said.

He also confirmed the phone number was his, the affidavit says.

He said that he was married and that his wife was pregnant.

“Luis stated since his wife was pregnant he could not be sexually aroused by her,” the affidavit says.

He confirmed that he worked for a bank and lived in Fort Worth.

He agreed to surrender to Hamilton County authorities once a warrant was issued.
