As many as 1,200 customers were left without power and internet service through part of the morning Friday in Mexia after an 18-wheeler clipped a power line.
By 9 a.m., power had been restored to about 800 customers and by 11 a.m., only a half dozen customers were without service.
The rig clipped the power lines at the intersection of Ross and Tyler, police said.
Oncor and Northland Cable were notified, police said.
Temperatures are expected to reach 108 degrees Friday in parts of Central Texas.
