Overnight fire destroys trailers in Harker Heights

HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas (KWTX) An overnight fire in Harker Heights destroyed a trailer unit in a condemned trailer park Thursday.

Harker Heights Fire officials said they responded to the fire just after 2:00 a.m. at 101 Roy Reynolds Dr.

When they arrived, a unit of three trailers pushed together was engulfed in flames.

Officials said flames reached as high as 30 feet in the air.

They said the unit was being used as storage, and no one appeared to be living there at the time of the fire.

No one was injured.

No other structures were damaged.

Crews were still on scene early Thursday morning monitoring hot spots.

The Killeen Fire Department assisted.

The cause is under investigation.
