Parents of missing Temple friends speak out after search

TEMPLE, Texas Saturday over one hundred volunteers gathered to search the Central Texas area for any clues that may lead to the whereabouts of Michael Swearingin and Jenna Scott. The Temple residents and longtime friends have been missing since January 4th.

Sunday, Deborah Harrison, Michael’s mother, and Jonathan Scott, Jenna’s father, spoke with local media about their children's disappearance, and the massive search that took place.

Unfortunately, both parents stated that no evidence was uncovered in the search. Even with this news, the parents are trying to keep up hope and are asking for continued prayers from the community.

"We have been given a very little amount of hope,” said Harrison. “We have talked with the police and they are working really hard. They can't share a lot with us, but we do know that there is very little hope that the two will be found alive. We are needing a miracle, and we need anybody and everybody that prays to please keep praying for a miracle."

Harrison and Scott said that their children were never involved in anything that would get them in trouble. They also said they have no reason to believe that anyone would want to hurt their children.

Harrison also said that as of right now there aren't any other planned searches for the missing friends, but if you have any information please call the Temple police department. As of Sunday night there has been no update in the case.
