Isaac C. Quinteros, 39, has been charged with online solicitation of a minor and possession of marijuana.

He remains in the McLennan County Jail in lieu of $51,000 bond.

According to an arrest affidavit, the investigation began on Dec. 11 after one of the department’s social media profiles received a friend request from Quinteros.

Through messages, it was determined he did not know who she was, but although was aware she was 15, the suspect began a line of questioning which turned sexual in nature.

Over the next couple of weeks, the suspect began requesting sexual favors of the person he believed was a 15-year-old girl, the affidavit states.

Police say conversations ceased over the holidays.

They were preparing to get an arrest warrant, then on the morning of Jan. 13, the suspect made contact again, requesting he meet up with the girl to take her to a motel, police said.

Instead of a teenage girl, officers, in plain clothes, were waiting for the suspect at the Stripes Convenience Store at 514 Sun Valley Blvd.

As the suspect entered the store, he was confronted by an officer who told him he was under arrest; the suspect started to pull away and was taken down to the ground and placed in handcuffs, the affidavit states.

Police said the suspect had taken an Uber from a motel in Bellmead and brought her some marijuana.
