Police: Drunk driver rear-ends police unit; Texas officer injured

EL PASO, Texas (KWTX) A woman is accused of driving drunk and crashing into a police unit, injuring a police officer.

Police charged Lexis Croysdill, 23, with driving while intoxicated over .15.

The wreck happened late Sunday night while the police officer was conducting a traffic stop.

Police said Croysdill was driving drunk when she rear-ended the police unit.

The officer was in his vehicle at the time of the collision. He was transported to a hospital and later released with minor injuries.

Police said Croysdill was not injured. She was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a 1,000 bond.
