KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Bond is set at $100,000 for a Killeen man who admitted to police he shot his wife in the chest and then hid his guns, according to an affidavit released Wednesday.

Timothy Francis Decaille remains in the Bell County Jail charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after the incident Sunday at the couple’s home in Killeen.

The victim, Dominique Hughes, told officers Decaille shot her in the chest during an argument, the arrest warrant affidavit says.

She was taken to a local hospital

Information about her condition wasn’t immediately available Wednesday.

Decaille “admitted to officers that he had shot Hughes and then hid his firearms,” the affidavit says.

Officers found the guns and seized them as evidence, the affidavit says.
