Police chase ends in front of local high school

HEWITT, Texas (KWTX) A police chase Monday morning ended in front of Midway High School’s student drop-off area.

The chase started after Hewitt officers pulled over a driver, who then sped off, Hewitt police Chief Jim Devlin said.

Officers stopped the fleeing driver in front of the high school after a brief chase

Officers arrested Jacob Kyle, 23, Devlin said.

Kyle was in the McLennan County Jail Monday afternoon facing charges of reckless driving and driving without a license with a previous conviction.
