Police found murdered Central Texas woman’s body in duffel bag
The body of a Bryan woman stabbed to death in a “violent assault” was found inside a large duffel bag in her home, according to court documents released Wednesday, KBTX in Bryan reported.
She had been stabbed in the back, the documents say.
Loretta Aguirre, 53, was found inside her home Friday evening in the 1100 block of Verde Drive in Bryan.
Police told KBTX she died as a result of a violent assault.
Ike Dashawnne Newton, 24, of Snook, was arrested Tuesday in connection with Aguirre’s death.
He’s held in the Brazos County Detention Center in lieu of $300,000 bond charged with murder, KBTX reported.
Surveillance video showed him entering the victim’s apartment after leaving a duffel bag next to a nearby stairwell, authorities told KBTX.
