WACO, Texas (KWTX) Waco police are investigating after a boy reported that a man grabbed his arm at around 5 p.m. Sunday at the H-E-B on North 19th Street in Waco.

The parents of the 5-year-old boy said their son told them a man grabbed his arm near the check-out line.

He said he yanked his arm away from the man, who then started laughing, and walked away.

The boy’s 9-year-old brother said he witnessed the incident.

"We think this man was trying to kidnap him, and we just want the public to be aware," Rodrick Watson, the boy's father, said.

Waco police said they watched surveillance footage from inside the store, but did not find any evidence of the incident, so they are not investigating it as an attempted kidnapping.

Police said they have not identified the man and have not made any arrests.

“Somebody else might not be so lucky, and who knows, really I'm okay, I'm at peace because I got my baby… but I'm concerned that he's not caught," the boy’s mother, Christy Watson, said
