Officers responded to the waterpark at 900 Lake Shore Drive after 6 p.m.

Two police vehicles were there when KWTX arrived after 7:30 p.m., including a crime scene unit.

One of the officers said they were investigating a possible rape, and no one had been taken into custody.

In a statement released at 9:30 Wednesday night, Sgt. Patrick Swanton with Waco police said: "It was reported to our officers that two juveniles, a male, and a female, who have previously had consensual sexual relations with each other met at the park tonight. An event occurred at the water park this evening between the two. We are currently investigating that incident and determining what if anything between the two occurred."

Swanton emphasized, this was not a situation involving a stranger interacting with a victim, the juveniles knew each other, and no one else was involved.

Employees outside the park said they were there for a lifeguard training inside.

KWTX left a message with the Hawaiian Falls Waco office after hours and did not immediately hear back.
