Police search for gunman after shooting at local hotel

Police are searching for a gunman after a shooting at a hotel that sent a man to a local hospital.

Police were searching Wednesday for a gunman after a shooting Tuesday night at the Econo Lodge in Killeen that sent a man to a local hospital.

The shooting was reported just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the hotel in the 600 block of East Central Texas Expressway.

Officers found the victim in front of the hotel with a gunshot wound to the torso.

He was taken to a local hospital.
