Police link one man to 4 in a string of local robberies

(KWTX) Police think one man is responsible for at least four in a string of more than a dozen armed robberies at convenience stores, a bank and a restaurant in Central Texas, most of them in Bell County.

Killeen police released surveillance images Wednesday from four of the businesses that were hit between Nov. 8 and Nov. 12.

The first is from Nov. 8 when a man walked into Shorty’s convenience store at 908 Terrace Drive in Killeen, displayed a silver handgun, demanded money and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The second is from Nov. 11 when the same man entered the Star Mart at 305 West Elms R., pulled out a silver handgun, demanded money from the register and the clerk, and then fled with the cash.

The third is from Nov. 12 when the man entered the Select Food Mart at 93 Elms Rd., produced a silver handgun, demanded money and fled.

Just a few hours later the same man entered a Subway at 1100 old FM 440 in Killeen, produced a silver handgun, demanded money and escaped with the cash.
