Motorcycle hits officer’s car as person bolts as police serve warrant

WACO, Texas (KWTX) A motorcycle struck an officer’s car and the rider was injured while attempting to bolt as Baylor police served a warrant Friday morning near the Baylor University campus, the Waco Fire Department said.

Firefighters and paramedics responded after the incident Friday at the Outpost apartment complex on South University Parks Drive near campus, which was initially reported as an auto-pedestrian accident.

Baylor University and Baylor police are saying little about an incident.

An officer at the scene would only say it involved “more than just an auto-ped incident.”

Baylor University spokeswoman Lori Fogleman says no Baylor students were involved in the incident.

No other information was immediately released.
