Police search for 2 men after Central Texas gambling bust
The Marlin Police Department is searching for two men after a year-long investigation into an illegal gambling ring ended in a bust Thursday night.
Interim Marlin Police Chief Nathan Sodek said officers served search warrants at the Qwik Stop at 303 Bridge Street.
He said they discovered a back room with at least nine gambling machines.
Officers also recovered money but Sodek said the department is still working to count it all.
Sodek said the department will not release the identities of the two men wanted in the case until arrests are made.
He said the investigation started a year ago after several citizens complained to the department.
The Falls County Pct. 1 Constable's Office and District Attorney's Office assisted in the bust.
