Raccoon causes area power outages

A raccoon was responsible for some power outages Wednesday in Lampasas.

The raccoon somehow got into the Lower Colorado River Authority’s main transformer, according to a tweet Wednesday morning from the City of Lampasas.

Repairs were completed late Wednesday morning.

The city advised residents with medical conditions affected by the outage or who needed medical assistance to call the city at (512) 556-6831 or (512) 556-8315.
