James Paul Hicks, 51, of Temple, was in the Bell County Jail Wednesday charged with indecency with a child sexual contact.
Hicks, a registered sex offender, was arrested Thursday on a warrant stemming from an investigation that started after a 7-year-old girl made an outcry on April 13.
Hicks served a six-year prison sentence for aggravated sexual assault of a child, authorities said.
A $200,000 bond was recommended.
