Report: Texas ranked 3rd worst state in U.S. when fighting coronavirus
A new report compiled by WalletHub claims Texas is the third worst state in the United States when it comes to fighting the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Texas was ranked 49th out of 51 states and the District of Columbia.
The worst state in the country was Wyoming while the best state in the country was Rhode Island.
WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across three key dimensions: Prevention and Containment, Risk Factors and Infrastructure and Economic Impact.
The Lone Star State was ranked as the worst state in the U.S. when it comes to the uninsured.
Texas was also ranked 48th in "public health emergency preparedness."
