Reward increased for fugitive Central Texas sex offender
The reward offered for information leading to the arrest of fugitive sex offender Monroe Hernandez, 51, was increased to $8,000 Monday.
Waco Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward in the case.
Hernandez is wanted for a parole violation and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
He’s on the state’s 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list.
He’s been a fugitive since September 2014.
His last known address was in Waco and he has ties to the Waco area, authorities said Monday.
His criminal history includes a 1993 conviction for sexual assault in McLennan County.
Hernandez is 5-foot-5 and weighs about 180 pounds.
He has tattoos on his chest, left hand, and both legs.
