A second woman accused of having sex with a 14-year-old Temple boy was in custody Monday, charged with sexual assault of a child.
Desiree Cherie Hovatter, 19, of Houston, was booked into the Bell County Jail Friday.
Her bond was set at $100,000.
Savanna Nicole Spurlock, 21, of Austin, who’s accused of having sex with the same boy remained in the Bell County Jail Monday, also charged with sexual assault of a child.
She was arrested on Nov. 24.
The arrests are the result of an investigation that started after officers investigating an alleged sexual assault at a summer pool party at a Temple apartment complex learned that the 14-year-old had sex with two women.
The boy admitted to his mother that he went to the pool party while his parents were out of town in late July and that afterward he, Hovatter, and two friends returned to the boy’s home where he and Hovatter had sex in his sister’s bedroom, according to an arrest warrant affidavit released Monday.
The boy had sex with Spurlock in mid-August, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
He told investigators he lied to his parents and went to an apartment complex in Temple where the woman lived with her family and had intercourse in her bed and that afterward she told him not to tell anyone “because she would have to go to jail for 10 years,” the affidavit says.
Two other witnesses confirmed that Spurlock and the boy “had engaged in sexual intercourse,” the affidavit says.
Sexual assault of a child is a second-degree felony that carries a possible sentence of two to 20 years in prison.
