Shooting during home invasion sends man to local hospital
Bell County deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred during what evidently was a home invasion at a residence outside of Harker Heights that sent one man to a local hospital.
Deputies responded to a report of the shooting at around midnight Sunday at 151 Spur 3219.
“The victim claimed that four-five males had forced entry into his residence and that one of the subjects had a firearm,” sheriff’s Maj. T.J. Cruz said in a press release Monday.
The unidentified victim, who had a grazing wound and a penetrating wound in the back of his torso, was taken by ambulance to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.
