A wrecker was called in Wednesday morning to pull a Belton ISD bus free after a pavement collapse that left the bus stuck.
The hole that formed when the pavement gave way at the intersection of 9th and Beal Streets was big enough to engulf the right front tire of the bus.
A second bus was sent to pick up the stranded students, who made it to school on time.
The bus was driven away once it was pulled free of the hole.
