A woman who witnesses say was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic early Monday afternoon was taken to a local hospital after her car hit a utility pole guy wire, a sign, went airborne and slammed into several other vehicles in the parking lot of a local pawnshop.

The woman was trapped in the wreckage of her vehicle.

Firefighters had to free her.

The accident knocked out power to the pawnshop and an adjacent veterinary clinic.

No one else was seriously injured.

Police think the woman may have suffered a medical problem.

The accident happened at around 12:30 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of Top Loan Pawn in the 3500 block of East Rancier Avenue in Killeen.

Further details weren’t immediately available.
