A Waco man who was stabbed repeatedly during an argument was in Providence Health Center Wednesday and his wife, whom policed found hiding in a closet, was in jail charged with aggravated assault/family violence.
Lakeshia Michelle Washington, 39, was held in lieu of $75,000 bond, according to online jail records.
She’s also named in five outstanding traffic warrants, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.
The victim, whose name was not released, told officers he was stabbed during an argument at a house in the 3800 block of Cumberland Avenue.
Officers interviewed him after they were sent at around 8 p.m. Tuesday to the hospital in response to a check patient call.
They then went to the house on Cumberland where they found Washington hiding in a closet, Swanton said.
