WACO, Texas (KWTX) A popular Waco area restaurant whose doors state officials closed last Wednesday over nearly $283,000 in unpaid taxes was again open for business Monday.
The Texas Comptroller’s Office allowed Mexicano Taqueria Grill & Bar in China Spring to reopen on Friday after owners came up with more than half the amount owned.
The restaurant still owes the state $123,000 and is working with the Comptroller’s Office on a re-payment plan.
