Killeen: Disturbance suspect leads officers on chase, then kills himself
A suspect in a domestic disturbance call led Killeen police officers on a chase before taking his own life, police said Tuesday.
At around 9:30 p.m. Monday, officers were called to investigate a domestic disturbance on the 4200 block of Deek.
A woman called and said she got into an argument with her husband, who fired rounds into a vehicle.
When police arrived at the scene, the husband was not home.
The man later returned to the scene, but fled when police approached him.
Police said the suspect led officers on a chase, pulled into a random driveway in the area of Gus Drive and Mattie Drive, then shot himself as officers approached.
The man has not been identified.
