MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Target uses red as the main color for its logo, stores and ads. But its corporate face is now also red after it made a whopper of an error and in its home state, to boot.
The retail giant was selling a onesie aimed at fans of the University of Minnesota, the state’s largest school.
But the onesie was maroon and was emblazoned with the name “Minnesota Badgers,” the nickname of Big Ten rival Wisconsin.
Target has owned up to the error, saying in a statement “Color us red.”
The company says two of the 24 mislabeled garments were purchased and the other 22 were returned to the vendor.
