Temple: Garage fire displaces family of 2

A garage fire that caused smoke damage to a house displaced a family of two Tuesday in Temple.
The fire was reported just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3900 block of Loop Drive.
The detached garage was damaged by fire and smoke and the attic of the home received smoke damage.
The total loss is estimated at $30,000, fire officials said.
The fire started accidentally in an enclosed closet in the garage, but the cause is undetermined, fire officials said.
No one was hurt.
The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
