A man who was caught on camera breaking into a Temple business evidently left empty-handed.
The break-in was reported at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Auto Zone at 1001 South 31st St. in Temple.
Officers found a broken window near the front doors of the business and then searched the building, but didn’t find anyone inside.
Store security video showed the man, who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray jogging pants, black shoes and black gloves, breaking the window, entering the business and heading straight to the cash register, which was empty, a police report says.
“It does not appear anything was taken from the store,” the report says.
Damage totaled about $1,000, the report said.
