TEMPLE, TEXAS (KWTX) Imagine the possibilities of revitalizing downtown Temple, it’s what residents spent Wednesday evening doing.

Self-guided tours throughout downtown brought attention to all the new things to come in the city like new restaurants, coffee shops, food courts or apartment complexes.

While some long time successful businesses explained how obtaining old downtown buildings can turn into staples for the city.

“Tonight was better than we ever thought it would be.” Tanya Reed, senior architect in the old Professional Building project said. “Honestly, the reaction was better the crowd was better we have two page list of people wanting more information with emails.”

Temple Main Street organized the event featuring fourteen stops to downtown opportunities.

“A ton of investment in downtown and we are doing it, but a lot of others are doing it as well, and to really revitalize our downtown, to bring people down here, there's a great story to be told for the amenities we have here in Temple." Co-owner of a new pizza, beer, coffee shop Bo Harvey said.
