House fire melts siding of neighboring home

TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) Temple Fire & Rescue was working a pair of house fires early Friday morning.

The single story home located at 706 North 4th street is a complete loss.

There was also a car in front of the house that burned.

Temple Fire and Rescue spokesperson, Thomas Pechal, said, "the radiant heat from the fire at 706, started to melt the siding of the home at 704 N. 4th street."

Neighbors called 911 to report the fire and tell us an officer helped wake up the family living in the neighboring home.

It's too early to determine a cause of the fire and Pechal was not aware of any injuries.

Crews have closed North 4th street to traffic.

In an unrelated incident, authorities arrested Amanda Rubio, 32, who was staying at the home that caught fire.

Temple officials say Rubio was wanted on warrants out of Harker Heights and McLennan County.
