Officers were waiting as men showed up at a Killeen hotel in response to an online prostitution ad, police said Friday.

Investigators from the Killeen Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit placed the ad on backpage.com offering sex for money.

Ten men were arrested after showing up Thursday at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel at 1721 East Central Texas Expressway and offering to pay anywhere from $40 to $100 for sex, police said Friday.

Ronald Eugene Henderson, Juan Marcos Gonzales, Andrew Gabriel Reyes, Jonathan Gabriel Kiptrotich Ngeny, Bob Alvin Foster, Conrad Jerome Rodgers, Julion Cesar Hernandez, Kameron Deoni Robinson, Stanley Robert Evans, Jr., and William Henry Porr were arrested on misdemeanor prostitution charges, according to probable cause affidavits released Friday.

“The operation was conducted in response to criminal activity being monitored by detectives, as well as citizen complaints and information regarding this crime,” Commander Alex Gearhart said in a press release Friday.
