"It feels like we are welcoming our family back, so we are excited to open on Monday and see you come through our doors and making sure that it’s a safe environment for them as well,” Family Y CEO Rodney Martin said.

"I just want the community to know we are here for you, we want to make it a safe environment for you and our employees"

Starting Monday gyms and exercise facilities in Texas may reopen and exercise classes may resume, but participation is limited to 25% of the listed occupancy of the facility.

Restrooms may be open, but locker rooms and showers must remain closed.

Also manufacturing facilities that were deemed nonessential may resume operations, but with a limit on personnel that’s 25% of the facility’s listed occupancy and offices deemed nonessential with either five employees or 25% of total workforce, whichever is greater, provided social distancing guidelines are followed.

At the Family Y, members will be screened regarding symptoms and temperatures will be taken.

The pool is open for lap swimming only and only one person is allowed in each of the pool’s 10 lanes for no more than 45 minutes at a time.

Employees will monitor the number of people in workout rooms.

Every other treadmill is off limits and those available for use will have cards on them that indicate whether the equipment has been sanitized.

Members are required to wear gloves and wipe down equipment.
