Texas A&M graduate recognized as top Navy recruit in training group
A Texas A&M grad who is now a recruit in the U.S. Navy has received an award for his performance in Recruit Training Command.
Seaman Recruit Bryan Wallace, 22, graduated as the top sailor in his group and received the Navy Club of the United States Military Excellence Award earlier this month.
Wallace graduated from A&M in 2019 and served as a paramedic before joining the Navy and now he is a hospital corpsman.
Navy officials say the Military Excellence Award is given to the recruit who demonstrates the most enthusiasm, devotion to duty, military bearing and teamwork.
