WACO, Texas (KWTX) Dallas Jesuit all-purpose back EJ Smith visited Texas A&M over the weekend along with his mother and NFL-legend father.
"Thanks to everyone at Aggie Football," EJ Smith posted on Instagram along with a graphic announcing his official visit to the school.
EJ's mother Pat Smith also posted a photo of her son and husband attending Saturday's game. "Thanks to everyone for an incredible day," she wrote on Instagram.
EJ Smith, the son of Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith, has already visited the University of Florida, his father's alma mater.
Earlier this year, EJ Smith included Texas A&M in the list of finalists he is considering for his collegiate football career, 247 Sports reports. He has reportedly narrowed his offer list of 22 schools to five programs.
247 Sports reports Texas A&M made the cut, along with Ohio State, Stanford, Georgia and Florida.
EJ Smith told GigEm247 it has been a tough decision, but "Just having my family have my back helped. With their help, I made those five my decision."
Per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, EJ Smith is a national top-five all-purpose back and a top-150 player overall in the 2020 class.
While at Jesuit last season, according to 247 Sports, Smith caught 40 passes for 478 yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed for 890 yards and 12 touchdowns.
