Texas Rangers help investigate after person found dead in local home

The Texas Rangers are assisting in the investigation after Mexia officers found a person dead Tuesday in a home.
Officers made the discovery at around 12:30 p.m. after responding to a request for a welfare check at the home in the 1000 block of North Ross Avenue.
No further details were released Tuesday.
