Athletic officials with Texas A&M-Commerce say two the school’s football players are being treated after they were robbed and shot Saturday afternoon in Miami.

Officials say the players were on a spring break trip to Florida at the time.

Head football coach David Bailiff and Athletic Director Tim McMurray were headed to Florida from North Texas to be with the students and their families.

The school identified the players as redshirt junior linebackers Jay Bias and Xavier Morris.

Texas A&M University-Commerce is a NCAA Division II school in the Lone Star Conference.

The football team went 10-3 this past season.
