DAVIS, Okla. (KXII) Two Texas college students from India drowned Tuesday at Turner Falls Park in Davis, Okla.

Police said the two Indian nationals were students at the University of Texas at Arlington.

The state Medical Examiner's Office on Wednesday identified the two as 23-year-old Ajay Kumar Koyalamudi and 22-year-old Teja Koushik Voleti.

Officers said they suspect neither could swim very well and said neither was wearing a life jacket.

Davis firefighters recovered the bodies, and the state medical examiner was responding.

Davis police say they are working to notify the Indian consulate.

Ten people have drowned at Turner Falls since 2016.

The park said on its Facebook page its swimming area and blue hole would remain closed for the remainder of the day Tuesday.
