Two teenage suspects from a Monday night burglary in Killeen were taken into custody Tuesday morning after they crashed a stolen vehicle.

Just before 7:45 a.m. police received a call about a pickup truck that crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of Elms Road and Hereford Lane.

It appears the truck attempted to take a left turn off of Elms onto Hereford, and lost control of the vehicle, police said.

Police said the caller was at a daycare across the street when it happened, and she told police she saw two men running from the vehicle after the crash.

Officers in the area found the two teenagers a short time later and took them into custody.

Police said the vehicle had been stolen from the scene of a home burglary Monday night, and they believe the two men are connected to the crime.
