Killeen: Teen wanted in shooting at local Bush’s Chicken restaurant
An arrest warrant has been issued for a teenager in connection with a shooting on Jan. 22 at a Bush’s Chicken restaurant in Harker Heights that left one person injured.
Marquis Deon Henderson, 18, is named in a warrant charging aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police were looking for two suspects after the shooting at the restaurant at 250 Commercial Dr. in Harker Heights.
Officers responded to the restaurant at around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 22.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.
Information about his injuries and condition wasn’t released.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to call the Harker Heights Criminal Investigation Division at (254) 953-5400.
The owner of the restaurant is also encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
“Our condolences go out to the victim who was injured in this unfortunate event,” Joe Fugitt said.
“Based on video evidence, it appears the shooting was a targeted and isolated event. There was no attempt to rob the store.”
On Feb. 8 the store will donate 10% of its profits for the day to the Texas Crime Victims’ Compensation Fund.
