TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) A two-vehicle crash Monday evening just outside of Temple claimed the life of a 93-year-old woman, authorities said Tuesday.

Mozelle McDonald of Temple died at Scott & White Medical Center after the crash, which occurred just after 6:30 p.m. Monday on State Highway 36 about a half mile west of Temple, Department of Public Safety Sgt. Ryan Howard said.

McDonald was seriously injured when an eastbound Ford Fusion struck her Saturn Ion as she pulled onto the highway from the parking lot of a Dollar General store, Howard said.

The driver of the Ford was also taken to Scott & White, but information about injuries wasn’t available Tuesday.
