Rapper surrenders in rape case after suspect arrested in Killeen
New Orleans rapper Michael Lawrence Tyler, 46, who was wanted in connection with a rape in October 2016, surrendered Monday, three days after U.S. marshals arrested another man wanted in the case in Killeen.
Tyler, who goes by the name of Mystikal, was named in a Louisiana warrant charging first-degree rape.
He surrendered Monday afternoon at the Caddo Correction Center in Shreveport, La., KSLA-TV in Shreveport reported.
U.S. Marshals arrested Averweone Holman, 26, in Killeen Friday in connection with the high profile rape case.
He remained in the Bell County Jail on Monday.
Authorities said a woman reported that she was raped at a casino last October.
According to CBS affiliate KSLA, investigators collected evidence at the scene that linked Holman and the Mystikal to the sexual assault.
A warrant has also been issued for Tenichia Wafford, 42, of Harker Heights.
Authorities said Wafford made contact with the victim to convince her to drop the charges against Mystikal and Holman.
Wafford faces an accessory charge.
