Four men were snared in Bell County in an undercover operation targeting suspected child predators, the Texas Attorney General’s Office said Monday.

The four men were arrested last week after they arrived at a predetermined location “expecting to meet and engage in sexual activity with a child,” the attorney general’s office said.

Matthew Jay Pederson, 33, of Killeen;Jalil Azis Townsend, 24, of Temple; Getston Yonatan Paz Paz, 22, of Hutto, and Kenneth Edward Ricketson, 22, a U.S. Army specialist stationed at Fort Hood, were each charged with one count of online solicitation of a minor.

Their bonds were set at $250,000 each, the attorney general’s office said.

The four were booked into the Bell County Jail, the attorney general’s office said Monday.

None appeared on the jail’s online roster Monday, however.

The undercover operation involved the attorney general’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the Bell County Sheriff’s Department.
