The Copperas Cove Police Department sent officers to a local school following reports of a threat.
A post on the department's Facebook page said a nonspecific threat was made toward S.C. Lee Junior High School.
Police said the threat was not deemed credible, but additional officers were posted on and around the campus.
Copperas Cove ISD released a statement shortly before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, saying “CCISD wants to remind parents that student safety is our top priority.
