(KWTX) Family and friends of a 17-year-old gunned down last week in Killeen remembered his life during a candlelight vigil Saturday night.
The vigil for Jacques Lee Jackson was held in Denton, Texas, at Les Zeiger Park.
Everyone at the vigil was also encouraged to bring purple and blue balloons to release.
Jackson was shot Aug. 10 in the 5300 block of Fiesta Oak Drive in Killeen. He died at the hospital.
His mother, Tarmesha Ballard, has started a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral expenses.
"My 17-year-old, my baby boy, was murdered Sunday, so the money will go towards his home-going to be with our heavenly father," she wrote.
No arrests have been announced by Killeen Police Department.
