The Waco Police Department is tracking down those responsible for burglarizing the Dairy Queen in the 4600 block of West Waco Drive early Monday morning.

Rob Douglas, the regional facilities manager, said the culprits threw a rock through a drive-thru window to gain access to the store.

No money was taken because money isn’t left in stores overnight according to the manager.

The manager said this is the third time a Waco Dairy Queen has been burglarized in the past three weeks.

Police are also investigating a break-in at Firestone Complete Auto Care at 1111 Lake Air Dr.

They haven't determined if the break-ins were related.

Each break-in can cost thousands of dollars in repairs depending on the damage.

Douglas said the safety of the customers and staff are his top priority.

Waco police are reviewing surveillance video.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (254)753-4357.
