The Waco Diaper Bank is stepping up to help federal workers furloughed or working without pay because of the partial government shutdown.

Federal workers in McLennan County may go to Caritas of Waco at 300 South 15th St. to receive free diapers.

In order to receive diapers, a federal ID and a child’s birth certificate or shot record must be presented as well as proof of residency.

"There are many federal workers here in town that are working without pay, we wanted them to know they can get diapers for their children if they aren't able to afford them," said Ellen Filgo of the Waco Diaper Bank.

In order to receive the diapers one must be able to show a federal I.D. along with child's birth certificate or shot record.
